Changes to the SDR team
Program manager Joost van Dijk
Joost van Dijk (58) trained as an engineer at the University of Twente. He later received an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management. He has broad international experience in various management and board positions at Shell and EON. He has gained extensive experience in leading the transition of large organizations. Joost wants to contribute to the energy transition and to this end has been using his network, knowledge and experience in providing strategic advice and management thereof for several years. He is also a supervisor with various organizations. Joost lives in The Hague, is married and has 3 children.
Patrick Lafontaine joined the SDR project team on 1 April.
His position as project manager mainly includes projects in the Flemish working area of SDR.
Patrick acquired his master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Ghent. He then obtained his MBA degree at the Lessius School Antwerp and completed a General Management course at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. Patrick has developed his career at various companies of the Engie Group:
- Electrabel: industrial accounts management Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom
- Tractebel Energy International: industrial accounts management USA, Mexico, Thailand and South Korea
- Tractebel Engineering: project management of cogeneration and combined cycle power plants, high voltage networks, heat networks, hydrogen plants, sun and wind energy.
Patrick recently conducted the CCU (carbon capture and utilization) study in the Ghent port for North Sea Port.
