On Wednesday afternoon, the go-ahead was given for the construction of a new office and research center for chemical company Trinseo at the new industrial estate Maintenance Valuepark (MVP).
Trinseo is situated at the Dow site in Terneuzen (Zeeland). Office staff currently works from several different buildings on the Trinseo site. Trinseo needs more space for its research center. At the moment, about 400 people work at Trinseo in Terneuzen, 170 employees will move to the Maintenance Valuepark once construction is completed.
Trinseo is a relatively new player in the chemical industry. The company was set up in 2010, when the American investment company Bain Capital took over the worldwide production of styrene from Dow, also in Terneuzen.
Investment company Cordeel/APF takes care of the construction. Trinseo will rent the property for fifteen years.
