New factory for Lamb Weston/Meijer

Potato processing company Lamb Weston / Meijer has announced that it will invest in a new plant for its Ambient Potato Business in Kruiningen. The factory is being built on the current site in Kruiningen and will produce dried potato products for customers in the industry.

The total investment amounts to approximately 50 million euros and includes processing, mixing, packaging and storage facilities. The expansion is in line with the sustainability ambitions of the company to increase the total potato utilization. Construction is expected to start in the course of 2019.

In addition, the company is investigating possibilities to increase production capacity in one of the existing production facilities in Europe. The potato processor has recently announced that it is investing in the construction of a Technology Center in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands. With these investments, the company demonstrates that the company continues to support the growth plans of its customers.
