LBC Vlissingen has been awarded a €6.6 million subsidy to further develop its terminal in Zeeland. This investment marks a significant step in the transition toward a future-proof and sustainable port infrastructure.

The project encompasses the development of a terminal for the storage and transshipment of new energy products, the implementation of a digital twin to simulate and monitor terminal operations, and the creation of new jobs around this innovative facility. Through this initiative, LBC Vlissingen demonstrates a strong commitment to both technological advancement and the strengthening of the regional labor market.

The subsidy is provided under the OPZuid program of the Just Transition Fund (JTF), a European fund that supports regions in their transition to a sustainable, climate-neutral economy and promotes projects that drive innovation, sustainable infrastructure, and employment.
