Research at UGent is driven by approximately 1350 professors and 11000 pre- and post-doctoral researchers, focusing on fundamental, high-risk as well as more applied research.

Together with our partners, we are committed to the development of sustainable innovative technologies. UGent wants to be a leading knowledge institute for an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable future within a local and global context.
The collaboration with SDR runs through the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) and the CAPTURE platform. The focus is mainly on the translation of technological research into implementation projects in collaboration with the business and governmental partners within SDR.
