VoltH2 in Vlissingen is the start-up project and the focus is on the construction of an approximately 25 MW green hydrogen factory in the port area with growth potential to approximately 100 MW. In Terneuzen the approach is the same: starting with 25 MW, with growth potential to approximately 100 MW. This hydrogen plant will produce H2 using electrolysis and will include storage, charging and distribution facilities for the export of the H2 in addition to delivery via the Gasunie backbone. Initially, the plant will produce approximately 2,000 tons of green hydrogen per year, but it is capable of producing more than double that amount. In addition, the hydrogen plant concept allows for future expansions of up to at least 100 MW, potentially increasing H2 production to approximately 30,000 tons per year for all sites combined.
