Met 580.000 ton per jaar is het havengebied van North Sea Port een van de grootste waterstofproducenten en -afnemers ter wereld. De ontwikkeling past goed in het regionale Hydrogen Delta programma van Smart Delta Resources. The test centre supports the development and assessment of materials for technologies that enable industrial transformation and energy transition.
